National Treasure vs Da Vinci's Code
If you have not watched National Treasure...... i guess it's better not to read on........ Well... I do have somethings to say about this movie which captured my interest weeks ago when i saw the trailer. Glad tat i managed to catch it last saturday at marina.. and with some crappy ppl too.. haha... ok.. most of my frens are crappy anyway...Well.... i guess... it is a good show... i definitely dun feel i have wasted my $8.50 on tat show. Action, plot, actors n actress...... are all good..... except for one part..... the part where they managed to get into the cave below Trinity Church and starts falling all over., left right centre.......it's very confusing and i kinda lost touch on wat actually was going on then..... if anyone can explain thoroughly.. pls... tell me...hehe ......other than tat... i guess.. the movie is quite a success...... tat is.... given... I have not so high expectations
Unfortunately, I went in with rather high expectation..... and the movie somewat fell short of my expectation... although not by a lot. I still enjoyed the movie... but i just wished it could have been better.... and it's only so becoz i've read a book by Dan Brown..... titled... The Da Vinci's Code. The plot of National Treasure is somewat similar to Da Vinci's Code but personally i think that Da Vinci's Code is much more intelligent, intriguing and full of twists. In the book... wat was discovered in the end was different from wat they set out to look for in the first place. I won't say wat issit coz probably some of u haven't read the book yet. But for National Treasure...... it's the case of wat i want is wat i've got. The clues in the movie are also more direct/ simply deciphered, and it takes only seconds for Benjamin Gates(Nicholas Cage) to sort out the riddle. It's also an irony tat Cage use the name Brown.... when he ask for an audience with the National Archives Professor.... Abigail Chase( Diane Kruger)..... refering to Dan Brown perhaps? In the book... the clues are more sophisticated and definitely more brainy......in fact, i was so amazed and impressed by the clues n solutions in the book tat i decided to buy the rest of Dan Brown's books.
Anyway.. i guess it's really not so easy to shoot a movie tat'll allow so much exploring and depth so i really give credits to the production team of the movie. I'm not sure if National Treasure is meant to be an adaptation of Da Vinci's Code but i'm happy with the movie nonetheless.... recommended for all action lovers......
